It is with a heavy heart that we have officially closed our International Store, gc2b.io. This decision did not come easily to our team and has been under consideration for some time. With the onset of major international geopolitical shifts, an ongoing global pandemic, and financial inflation, our International Store has become unsustainable for us to continue to stock and maintain. While we were previously able to find short-term solutions to continue to meet the needs of our international customers, we have now come to the unfortunate decision to close gc2b.io
Some Background Info:
Our international store was launched in 2017 with the goal of expanding our international reach and the intention of making our binders more accessible in terms of cost and shipping/delivery times. Through a 3PL in the UK we were able to reach all EU countries and a majority of Asia and Africa. We did this by paying VAT costs upfront to import our goods and made our binders more affordable for folks who ordered from within the EU. This also offered another option for those ordering internationally to receive the items they needed with faster shipping.
We were also able to partner with UK-based LGBTQ+ organizations and make significant donations of used binders to ensure folks in need around the EU could access safer binding methods.
With the implementation of Brexit, increases in shipping and import taxes, and financial inflation we are no longer able to maintain our original goal of international reach and cost/delivery accessibility for our customers overseas.
Looking To The Future:
We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing any inconvenience for all of our international customers. Before the closure, we will be having a Blow Out Sale on the gc2b.io website. This is a great opportunity to stock up on your favorite items at a reduced price before the gc2b.io site closes.
Once the International Store closes our team will be working to transfer everyone’s gc2b.io rewards points and discount codes to our US store. Former customers of the International Store will be able to use their already earned discounts and points on future purchases from the US.
You’ll be able access to our line of updated products, as well as new drops and exclusive sales on our US webstore, gc2b.co which ships internationally. To ensure your order isn't held by customs and for faster delivery, we recommend choosing one of our DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping options.
