Should I get a binder or 2b Tape? What’s the difference?Updated 10 months ago
Whether or not gc2b’s binders or tape is best for you really depends… well, on you! Some folks find more comfort in the range of motion of the 2b Tape, while others prefer the security and shape that the binders give their chest.
gc2b chest binders were the first binder on the market created for trans people by trans people. Our binders use a patented design to flatten chest tissue effectively while still allowing for a wide range of motion and flexibility throughout the rest of the garment. 2b Tape is the newest product in the gc2b line up and is intended to be worn directly on the skin to position and compress chest tissue into a flatter or more masculine appearance. Folks who wear 2b Tape often find that they have an even greater range of motion when compared to a commercial binder. Taping also provides a more discrete look by allowing the wearer to more easily conceal that they are binding under clothing. To learn more about 2b Tape, click here!
While binders work well for all chest sizes listed on our sizing chart, we tend to recommend binders over 2b Tape to people with larger chest sizes for the best possible results.
